Rotate PDF
Turn pages that were scanned the wrong way up.

What PDF page rotation is
A value stored on the page itself, in degrees, that tells a reader how to display it. Rotating is therefore a property change rather than a transformation of content — nothing is re-rendered and no quality is lost.
What this tool does that others do not
Rotation accumulates and wraps correctly
Turning a page that is already rotated has to add to the existing value rather than replace it. Getting this wrong is the common bug: rotate twice by 270° and a naive tool leaves 540° in the file, which some readers normalise and others display sideways. Here the addition wraps back into 0–359, so the file says something every reader agrees on.
Per-page selection
Select the pages that were scanned the wrong way up, or select none and every page turns. Mixed-orientation scans are the normal case, not the exception.
How to use it
Open the page view
Deciding which pages are wrong is easier looking at them than reading a list.
Select the pages, or leave all selected
There is no automatic orientation detection, because it would guess wrong on tables and diagrams often enough to be worse than choosing.
Apply and download
File size barely changes, because nothing has been re-encoded.
Worked example
Real input, real figures.
A file that is upright in one app and sideways in another
You give it
A PDF that has been rotated twice by a tool that replaced rather than added.
You get
The stored rotation is outside 0–359 and readers disagree on how to normalise it. Rotating here rewrites the value into the canonical range, which usually settles the disagreement.
Against a typical rotate tool
| Aspect | This tool | A typical rotate tool |
|---|---|---|
| Existing rotation | Added to, then wrapped to 0–359 | Overwritten, or left out of range |
| Scope | Per page or all pages | All pages |
| Re-encoding | None — rotation is a property | Sometimes re-rendered |
Guide
Rotation that accumulates correctly
A PDF page carries its own rotation value, and turning a page that is already rotated has to add to that value rather than replace it. Getting this wrong is the common bug: rotate twice by 270° and a naive tool leaves 540° in the file, which some readers normalise and others display sideways.
Here rotation is added to whatever the page already had and wrapped back into 0-359, so the file says what every reader will agree on. Select specific pages to fix only the ones scanned the wrong way up, or select nothing and every page turns.
Questions people ask
Straight answers. Each one links directly: copy the address after opening it.
Why is my PDF sideways in one app and upright in another?
Almost always a rotation value outside 0-359 left behind by whatever produced the file. Readers disagree on how to normalise it. Rotating here rewrites the value into the canonical range, which usually fixes the disagreement.
Does rotating re-encode the page?
No. Rotation is a property of the page, not a transformation of its content, so nothing is re-rendered and no quality is lost. The file size barely changes.
Can I rotate only the landscape pages?
Show the pages and select the ones you want. There is no automatic orientation detection — it would guess wrong on tables and diagrams often enough to be worse than choosing.
Nothing leaves your device
Your file is read into this tab and worked on there. It is never uploaded, which is why there is no queue, no daily limit and no account, and why the tool still works with the network switched off.
