Organise PDF
Reorder and delete pages, with every page in front of you.

What organising a PDF is
Reordering and removing a document’s pages while looking at them. The difference from splitting is the interface rather than the operation: you work on rendered thumbnails instead of remembered page numbers.
What this tool does that others do not
Every page rendered, in your browser
Thumbnails are produced by pdf.js — the same engine Firefox uses to display PDFs — running in the tab. A short text document is near-instant; a hundred-page scan takes a few seconds, and that time is your own processor rather than a queue behind other people.
Each page shows where it will end up
Under every thumbnail is its position in the output, and a page that has moved also shows where it came from, so a reordered document can be checked page by page before it is written. Removed pages stay visible, dimmed and marked, until you download.
Move page 4 to the front and its label reads "1 ·was 4", and the three pages it passed each move one place later.
Drag, or move one place at a time
Drag a thumbnail to a new position, or use the arrow buttons under it to move it one place earlier or later. The buttons are real buttons, so reordering works from the keyboard as well as with a mouse.
How to use it
Wait for the thumbnails
The point of this tool over a split is seeing what you are changing, so the render is the feature rather than the delay.
Click the pages to remove, drag the ones to move
The number under each page is its place in the output; check it rather than the page you remember.
Download the result
Removal is real in the output file, which matters if you are stripping something sensitive. Your original is untouched on disk.
Worked example
Real input, real figures.
Stripping blank separator pages out of a scan
You give it
A 40-page scan with blanks scattered through it, and an appendix that belongs at the end.
You get
The blanks are obvious at a glance and one click each; the appendix pages are dragged to the end, and the labels under them confirm their new positions before anything is saved.
Against deleting pages by number
| Aspect | This tool | A number-entry splitter |
|---|---|---|
| What you choose from | Rendered thumbnails | Remembered page numbers |
| Reordering | Drag, or arrow buttons from the keyboard | Type the new order, or not at all |
| Verification | New position and old shown on every page | None until you open the result |
| Rendering | pdf.js in your browser | A server, or no preview at all |
Guide
Reordering and deleting pages is easier when you can see them
Every page is rendered as a thumbnail, so you are choosing from what is actually there rather than from remembered page numbers. Pages are rendered in your browser by the same engine Firefox uses to display PDFs; nothing is sent anywhere to produce them.
Drag a page to move it, or use the arrow buttons under it to move it one place at a time, which also works from the keyboard. Under every thumbnail is its position in the output, and a page that has moved shows where it came from: move page 4 to the front and it reads "1 ·was 4". Removed pages stay visible, dimmed and marked, until you download.
Questions people ask
Straight answers. Each one links directly: copy the address after opening it.
Why does it take a moment to show the pages?
Each page is being rendered to an image in your browser. A short text document is near-instant; a hundred-page scan takes a few seconds. That time is your own processor rather than a queue you are waiting in behind other people.
Can I reorder pages as well as delete them?
Yes. Drag a page to a new position, or use the arrow buttons under it to move it one place earlier or later. The label under each page shows its new position, so you can check the order before downloading.
Can I get a deleted page back?
Not from the downloaded file — removal is real, which is the point if you are stripping something sensitive. Your original is untouched on your device, so start again from that.
Nothing leaves your device
Your file is read into this tab and worked on there. It is never uploaded, which is why there is no queue, no daily limit and no account, and why the tool still works with the network switched off.
